About me
My name is Annelies Moerdijk
Founder of Annbiance & Design, an interior design studio where atmosphere, simplicity and personality come together.
As a born and bred Zeelander, I grew up with the peace, space and natural beauty of life by the sea. That environment has shaped my view - down-to-earth, pure and with an eye for the essential. My love for natural materials, pure shapes and clear lines forms the basis of my style: refined, well-considered and timeless.
After living and working in the Randstad for twenty years, I was inspired by sleek design, modern architecture and the rhythm of the city. These urban influences – structure, contrast and functionality – have enriched my vision of interior design.
These days, those two worlds come together in my work: the warm, natural of the coast and the modern, minimalist of the city. With Annbiance & Design, I create interiors that are in balance: stylish and liveable, calming and powerful, with room for simplicity and personality.
I believe that an interior is more than a pretty picture. It has to be right, tangible – and above all: tailored to who you are. That is why I like to work personally and custom-made, with an eye for detail, a sense of composition and a strong focus on experience.
As a mother of a son, I know how important it is for an interior to move with life. Practicality can go very well with aesthetics and design – as long as there is attention for the person in the space.
